Recent Covid-19 guidelines and restrictions have made it difficult for weddings to go ahead as planned, with many people’s dates cancelled or delayed. Maybe you’ve even been engaged for a while, but haven’t found the right opportunity for your wedding? We want to guide you on how best to have a CoVid safe wedding and then plan a bigger celebration with family and friends at a later date when restrictions have lifted. We understand how upsetting and tumultuous this time has been to so many people, yet we can reassure you that there are still ways in which you can make this celebration of your love meaningful and special. Go ahead and pick out that perfect dress, that extra smart kilt, and your favourite dance music, as we can assure you, you’ll have a brilliant time. Spring is here and as the days are getting lighter and the weather will soon be improving. There’s hope to have a beautiful wedding in 2021, and here’s how…
- From 26 April 2021 we can host a wedding ceremony following a reception for a maximum of 50 guests
- Guests must be seated for all food and beverage service on tables of 4 from 2 households (children under 12 years are not included in the maximum of 4 guests per table)
- Face covering must be worn indoors, unless seated having food and beverage
- You are required to provide all guest contact details for Test & Protect purposes – these will be kept on file for 21 days in the event of a case of Covid19, then be destroyed
We are still awaiting official guidance on whether an evening reception can take place and when live music will be permitted but will update this page as soon as we know from the Scottish Government or Scottish Wedding Alliance
